Karuizawa The Whisky Fair 1988, 19yo - 60.6%

A Karuizawa bottle for The Whisky Fair in Germany in 2007 (19yo). Comes at 60.6% vol. and is limited to 462 bottles. This one was aged in a sherry butt. There also is a second bottling with 58.3% vol that was bottled for the same fair and aged in a refill sherry butt.





  • Nose: Oak, sherry, dry, cedar wood, plumspread
  • Mouth: Sherry, mild wood influences, sherry sweetness
  • Finish: Red fruits, sherry, wood, cedar wood, long and warming
Comments: Quite excellent. Complex sherry and wood influence. All around a fantastic dram!
