Yamazaki Bourbon Barrel - NAS (2010)

Another one from the Suntory NAS line. This time a Yamazaki matured in bourbon casks. Usually Yamazaki has some sort of sherry influence (aside from the 10 and 12 yo) so this will be interesting. 48.2% vol.

• Nose: Vanilla, heavy sweetness, yeast dough (only at the beginning), tropical fruits, sweet Azuki bean paste
• Mouth: Tropical fruits, slight wood influence, rather dry
• Finish: Tropical fruits again, grapes, a bit acidic, grassy

Comments: Quite excellent, very fruity and tropical. I believe there is now a 2011 bottling available in Japan.
