Yoichi 15

Another Japanese whisky. This time from the Yoichi (余市) distillery on the island of Hokkaido. Bottled at 45% vol it is one of the four main standard bottlings from Yoichi at 10, 12, 15 and 20 years.










  • Nose: Peat, salami, medical, cedar wood
  • Mouth: Peat, oak, walnut
  • Finish: Malt, peat, smoky, peat sweetness, spices, wood, drying towards the end
Comments: Excellent! Elegant but also thick and heavy. Costs around 90€.
